Sid's' stories are bound to keep you glued to the computer screen for hours. Her stories focus around Jimmy, but she easily writes other characters into the stories. Based on the characters of the show, you will find exiting tales filled with love, courage and adventure, whether they are set in the harsh wilderness of 1860s America or in the modern world.

A year ago there was an exchange between two law enforncement agencies - a meeting that brought on many changes...

A note concerning The Streets of New York:

After the shock of the attacks on America in September, I eventually got around to thinking about this piece of fanfic. I realize it is incredibly trivial in the grand scheme of things (and even in the lesser scheme of things), but I still wondered what would be the most appropriate thing to do. Should I continue writing it? Should I ask Nesciri to take it down? What would everyone think if I kept writing it?

The shock and pain were too much at first, and I didn't know quite what I was going to do. The first change was that I asked Nesciri to remove the original graphic which clearly depicted the World Trade Centers.
After that, I worked slowly on chapter 4 and tried to decide where to go next. I wasn't sure if a storyline where buildings in Manhattan are burned down would be welcome. I know I was probably giving too much
thought to such a trivial thing, but it was important to me to have the approval of those in the fandom, because I consider you all friends; in short, I didn't want anyone thinking it would be inappropriate for me
to keep writing TSONY.

It's been 3 months now and I'm more than ready to pick this story back up again and run with it. While there will be no pointed references to the WTC (I never planned on them initially, either), this is, for all intents and purposes, a universe where the towers still exist. This isn't my attempt to gloss things over or to ignore reality; simply put, I've created this little world, I've had all the details plotted out in my head for close to six months, and this is how it will remain. Enough people have written to ask me when I'm continuing the story, that I'm reassured they will keep reading it as it is. It's entertainment, pure and simple, and a humble attempt to do justice to a city I've always been fascinated by.

Of course, as I agonized over this decision, I consulted a few wonderful people who have truly become friends in every sense of the word since I joined this fandom: Laura, Liz, and Lisa R have been angels of mercy, support, and advice. Most of all I'd like to thank Raye, for a conversation that had more impact on me than she probably realized at the time. It was right after we hung up the phone that I knew without a doubt I would be continuing with this story.

I welcome all comments and criticisms regarding this decision.

So that's enough seriousness. Back to romance, suspense, melodrama, and British Kid :o)
